Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

Abhayam welfare society is located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is an assemblage of friends working for a common cause with similar conduct and shared values. During its startup, Abhayam was primarily mandated to offer improved education access to the orphaned and poor sections of the society by rolling out scholarship programs and supporting them with a learning opportunity. Started as helping hands in the year of 2009, got registered with government of India as a nonprofit organization under the name of Abhayam welfare society with a registered number 489/2012.

Our Objective is to enhance the opportunity of education and support the needy. We aim to reduce the financial burden on parents and drive the student to pursue education without any hassle and provide an array of services by supporting old age homes, orphanages, conducting relief activities, providing peer-counselling, training and motivating younger generation towards productive choices with a motive of giving back to society.

Our programs include AASARA-Scholarships, SUSHRUSHA-Support the deprived, CHEYUTHA-Relief program and SPOORTHI-Student Interactions & Motivational Program.

Donors & active members, working in Various Companies lending their continuous support in successful running of the above programs.

Apart from regular members, Abhayam raised funds from external donors at times when supporting Medical Emergencies and performing relief activities.

Our Achievements

130 students were benefited from AASARA scholarship program in a stretch of 10 years.
Most of the AASARA scholars who got relived from their diploma got placed in major industries like IOCL, HPCL, CPCL, APL, NFCL, CFL and Pharma sectors etc.,
8 children from Spoorthi orphanage were supported to pursue their education in private schools.
Winter cloth distribution activity carried to reach the deprived at Vizag, Kakinada & Hyderabad regions.
Supporting Loyola old age home, Spoorthi orphanage and Sadhu Aashram Orphanage in all possible ways.
